Sent to Springfield

The slide and trigger had rust and I found out that I received my pistol about five months before they used the coating they now put on. I contacted Springfield and they emailed me a Fedex label and I packed it and sent to Springfield yesterday overnight. Does anyone know how long this will take? Thanks

My experience with the custom shop is that most repair work takes time, but the gun usually comes back with that little something extra that made sending it worthwhile.

Didn't know they started covering the full amount of shipping to them. Thought they would reimburse up to $50.

Springfield number 800-680-6866 and spoke with mitch in customer service. All this info is available on SA web site. They should have received my pistol last Wednesday so it is a week today that they have it.

Glad SA changed the shipping procedure for warranty work. Cost me a small fortune to ship back and was more then $50. SA did cover it but it took a while to get the money back.

Received pistol back yesterday with new sights, guess they had to take the old ones off to coat the slide. Now it looks as good as my 4 inch. They did great job and fast service.
