Rust after sight installation?

I just had my Truglo TFOs installed by Robar here in Phoenix. I didn't realize it in their shop, but there are some scratches in the groves for the sights. Is this pretty normal or did they do a sh!tty job? It's on front and rear grooves, and on the rear there is one that is a tad worse, that kind of forms into a barely noticeable nick at the end of the groove.

I'm asking because I'm concerned about it rusting.

Apparently they did not do any milling, as I got my old sights back complete, so I'm assuming the scratches in the finish were made by forcing the old sights out.

It's a bi-tone SC.

You will need to call Robar and ask. Unless the scratches are down to bare metal plus you living in AZ I really doubt you will have a problem with rusting. The factory XD sights are a PITA to remove. SA broke mine taking them off and installing night sights. You might touch it up if it bothers you.

Welcome to the forum.

I got mine done by Robar too. The way it looks on mine is that it is not so much a scratch as "discolored" where the NP3 probably took to the metal a little different. With the TFO's the base of the sight is much narrower than most, so I think you are more prone to see a scratch from removal and installation than with other wide based sights. There should be no rust issue, but if one comes about I know Robar will stand behind it.
