Noticed it the other day...it's hardly noticeable unless I look closely. I've searched for places on where to buy one of these but haven't found any for the 45 service, is it something I'd have to contact SA for? Also, I know it has the melonite finish but is it something I should be concerned about? It looks like it is also around the inside of the pin hole. I've tried to punch it out, but instead, I'm getting bits and pieces of it. I thought I'd ask here before having to wait for turn around time. Thanks for any help.

I see a little bit of rust on mine as well. Not sure what to do about it, or if it doesn't matter.

Contact SA and they will most likely make it right with you. I dont think its a part that they will mail directly so you may have to send your slide off for them to replace it. I have never heard of this happening on its on, did you use some wierd corrosive ammo or something?

Nope, no corrosive ammo or anything out of the ordinary. Replaced it with an OEM pin purchased from xdguys.com...great customer service.
