this problem is mainly before the melonite finish correct? (with proper cleanings etc)

In all the early reviews back in 2006, rust issues was the only thing that was negitive.

just called springfield and they checked my seriel and told me to send it back and barring it being due to my ignorance they will refinish in a dual coat called armory coating. for free.

im not sure but what i got from this is that you/they didnt know if it was pre melonite or not?
i thought all they had to do was check the S/N to find out if it was pre melonite or not

GET YOURSELF A COUPLE OF CANS OF EEZOX ITS A CLEANER AND DRY LUBRICANT THAT DRIES CLEAR AND IT IS THE BEST STUFF EVER MADE FOR RUST PROTECTION THIS STUFF HAS BEEN USED AND PROVEN IN THE JUNGLES OF VIETNAM AND IN THE GULF WARS AND USED EXTENSIVELY BY THE NAVY SEALS AND OTHER SPECIAL FORCES ITS GREAT AROUND SALT WATER AND DOES NOT COLLECT DUST OR LINT IT CAN BE FOUND AT MOST GUN SHOPS OR GO ON LINE TO EEZOX PRODUCTS .COM AND BUY A QUART CAN WHICH WILL LAST A LIFETIME AND WORKS ON LOCKS AND ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN THINK OF REMOVES COPPER , LEAD ETC
