rust fobia
I'v kinda got a fobia when it comes to rust.
so here's my question when i cleaned my guns I used a new tooth brush which i dipped in an old jar of hoppes that i had already used to clean a rusty old rifle. does it pose a threat to my new finish? I mean its solvent isint it supossed to destroy rust anyway? am I just too paranoid? or not enough?

your to Freakin Paranoid.
keep your guns clean. don't leave them sopping wet with gun oil (light to NO residue on exterior parts, light to extra-light layer on moving parts.) and you shouldn't have ANY problems with rust. Moisture leads to rust.
