sad sight

well it happened to me. Last tuesday as i grabbed my gun from next to my bed before work, i saw it. a slight redish orange tint on the rear left side of my slide. Living in the hell called phoenix and months of concealed carrying, i guess the moisture of sweating finally took its toll. i immediatly wiped the entire gun down with cleaner and oiled the insides. I ended up bein 30 minutes late to work, but my boss is also into guns so after explaining to him what had happend he understood completely. lol. So for now the gun is ok, rust free. I have been checking it every day and will continue to check it. I will update if i have any other problems. Ive been a little traumatized, but i think with enough therapy i will make it through.

Thanks for all your suppost and letting me vent my problems. i hope none of you have to go through these kinds of tough times.

lol

I'm sorry to hear, Rob. That is traumatizing and you should have definitely taken more time off from work than 30 minutes. Here's to hoping you pull through. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Are you sure it's rust free?
A week off should be sufficient enough time make that determination.

You cannot legislate morality, and banning inanimate objects will never substitute for personal responsibility. Banning and limiting things merely makes them profitable to criminals via laws of supply and demand.
