I like XD's, don't like Glocks, and love Walther P99's all for different reasons, but it's not a personal insult if you disagree with me.
I couldn't agee more. Glock owners are very defensive when you start talking bad about Glocks. I kind of understand. I'm always hearing people saying negative comments about Glocks. To be honest, their are quite a few big XD fans in my area and I've heard a few talking negative about Glocks. It just rolls of my back. I've owned just about every Polymer based pistol, so when they start running their mouths about how messed up/inferior Glocks are I laugh and explain my take on how each polymer based pistol I've owned compares to each other. Once they hear I've owned two XDs and not just Glocks, they stop running off at the mouth. To each his own. XDs, Glocks, S&W M&Ps, Wather P99s, H&K USPs, and Steyr M series pistols have allot to offer and are unique in their own special way. I like them all. I just wish I had enough money to own them all. The "My pistol is better then yours" arguement is childish and really shows how uneducated the person saying it really is when it comes to pistol knowledge. Now the new XDM is something really nice that may find its way to my home. I think XD really out did themselves with this new pistol. I'm just waiting for one in .45 ACP.

Take Care and God Bless!

I think if everyone had enough money to own multiple brands of polymer pistols, we would hear a lot less bashing. For most people, the first handgun you bought was probably based on the suggestions of the guy at the gun store, internet forums, or a friends suggestion. From then on, it is easy to stick with that same company and defend it against all other brands. If Glock had been suggested to me as my first handgun, I would probably be over at Glocktalk as we speak!

Rusty On rusty

Where I come from we call that rernt!

I have seen worse actually, and they have been sent off to Robar and come back looking like new.

I acquired an old Ruger MKI that had been stored in a fishing tackle box.

I got it unstuck, used a brass brush to knock off some rust, sent it to the local Duracoat guy and now I have a 1959 MkI tack driver. I traded an old computer pc tower for the pistol and about 190.00 in clean up, and duracoat.

I am having a Charlie Davis formerly of Buck knives) custom Anza Knife coated currently.
I have KG Gunkote on my custom Springfield Milspec to Myspec project. You can find it on the Louder than words forum.

I couldn't agree more. Keep an open mind. My friend JhankG is an XD fan. I like Glock.
My grandfather bought a Springfield in 1932. He didn't like oil either.

Still rocks. 3 moa with Iron Sights and my old eyes.
I'm gonna shoot a few XDs that I haven't shot before soon. Maybe I'll swear by them soon!?!?
