Cool Happy and sad day all at the same time

I found the oxidation/rust whatever it is the other day on my xd40. Called today and talked to Debbie she looked it up verified it was an 04 and gave me all I need to know to ship my baby back for a new coating.

I however am going to feel really naked not having my sidearm. One of these days I am gonna have to get a friend for her.

I am glad they reiimburse $50 of the shipping costs on top of fixing the guns.

Do they refinish all the metal pieces or just the rusty/oxidized parts?

Talk about service

On August 2nd I shipped my xd back for the warranty repair on the finish, they said thirty days....I got it back yesterday August 16th.

It looks great by the way, they even redid the site dots.

This is my first handgun. I have numerous long guns. My fiancee has a Ruger 38 special I carried while mine was gone (although I hate that gun). Right now we are trying to get out of debt...then I will buy more. Besides I also have two babies at home.

Lee I appreciate your input although I do not see how it affects my story. I dealt with Debi (maybe the same lady maybe not I don't know) she was more than pleasant to deal with.
