Rusting ?
My XD is now working great, I got back from the range last night and started to clean it and to my surprise the rag I was using for my final wipe down started to turn brown

I took a copper scrub pad and soaked it with CLP break free.
Scrubbed the slide with it. This took off the rust and left bare metal spots on the slide. De-greased the slide, then used cold blue to re-blue the spots. I wipe the slide down daily if I'm carrying or handling it. If it is your CCW you should probably wipe it down every night. |
