.45 ACP rust (black slide)

I got the XD out earlier for a routine check up to find my worst fear. There was a little bit of brown Rem oil that had dripped from the striker area down into the trigger assembly. I can't see any rust but I'm guessing that it's starting to rust in the tiny cracks around the rear site. I bought it new not even three weeks ago and shot around 500-600 rounds so far. Cleaned within an hour or two of shooting except for one time when I let it sit dirty over night. I've also been keeping it in the original case (probably not the best idea). I cleaned it the best I could but I can't get to where the rust is. Do I need to go ahead and call Springfield and see about sending it in or can it be easily remedied without a long wait. All suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated!

Pictures????

I keep mine in the factory case, don't clean it to often, and have never seen a spec of rust.

Nothing to take a picture of right now. I cleaned up all the visible rusty oil and I can't even see the rust itself. Amazing how it had to do this in the one spot I can't get to.

Not sure that that is oil. I pull that striker out often and it seems that this particular finish is beginning to acually wipe off. strange. OOOps got to go.
