Slight Rust on Rear Pin Near Grip Safety

I am not sure what the pin is for but I assume it is the pivot point for the grip safety.

Last night I was cleaning the lower half and I noticed a slight red color on both sides of the pin.

It is a very small hole so it's tough to get a qtip in there.

Any tips on how to clear it out?

Toothpick and some CLP?

it's not rust, it's the color the pin is suppose to be. there are a few pins on the XD which have a red color on the ends.

Well that makes me feel better.

When I stuck a qtip in there some red came off so I wasn't sure if it was rust.

The CLP must have leaked in there and started stripping the paint.

Thanks
