All weapons rust...especially if you ignore them for any length of time...I have a Sig 226 Navy with the "Maritime" finish...bought the gun in January, finger abused the puppy for about a week, stripped it, cleaned it, lubed it, and packed her away in my safe as a "queen". I sweat on my G19 in the summer from carrying in a IWB holster and I don't even wipe her down when I get home.3 years now and still never a spot of rust.The G19 is my summer carry gun,I bought this gun 7 years ago and made her my summer gun 3 years ago,after a couple thousand rounds and some good sweat she still looks like when I first purchased her new.
