NEED picture of MELONITE next to old finish

Im sure it has been posted already, but apparently my search-fu is weak.

If anyone has a picture of the two finishes side by side, it may be helpful for those of us in the market for an XD, but NOT in the market for a potential rust-factory.

thanks in advance.

I have an XD .40 with the older finish, the only problems i have ever had with rust are the rear slide serrations where i touch it. if my hands are geasy or sweaty and i leave it, it will rust a little bit, but it is easily cleaned off. it is annoying, but i think all of the pros of the XD outweigh the cons. just get it re-finished, or get a newer melonite gun

.....or wipe the whole thing down after you touch it.

the pic isnt gonna make a difference if both guns are new. the melonite is a clear treatment to the metal it self, its not a finish.
