Stainless rusts and I don't know why there are still people advising new buyers to get stainless to avoid rust. Yes, it's more rust resistant than blued, but stainless does still rust. That's ALL stainless pistols, not just xd's. The best that the xd's have to offer in rust resistance is the melonite, beter than stainless but unfortunately it's only on 45's.

check out this finish:
IF we do that, it'll be too purty to shoot!!

How's the beautiful state of Arkansas? If I could, I'd move to Ft. Smith or Mena.

I like it a lot and after living in crowded san diego for 20 years it's really nice, laid back and a great place to live. I grew up about 25 miles from mena in OK (by kiamichi mountain), was born in mena actually because it has the closest hospital. My mother moved from that area in ok where she lived just about all her live to north of OKC close to my brother. I think it's taking her a while to get used to the flatlands.

If you live in the flatlands, you don't have anything to look forward to.
