I've been using a Golden Rod in my safe for years. I used to have a small picture light attached at the top with a 25w peter bulb but it was pretty unreliable and I was concerned that even with the 25w bulb it would get too hot. I found the Golden Rod at a gun show and I've been using it ever since. It sits at the back on the floor of the safe and keeps the safe warm and takes care of any moisture from humidity. As a back up I keep bags of dessicant inside too......in case of power outage. The heat also keeps the dessicant bags usable too. No rust on any of my guns.
