on the third pic, you can see a rusty finger print
you should always wipe your gun down. sweat causes rust, period.

I would bet the gun had been wiped down clean and used on display at the gun store without being oiled occasionaly. At some places like Cabelas there may be 50 sweaty handed people a day handling display guns after eating salted peanuts and such without an oil wipe down. I wipe down all my stainless handguns and long guns with CLP and have had good luck with it. Stainless is more resistant to corrosion but not corrosion proof.
