The CLP we used in the marine corp feels different and smells(stronger) different. its also alot more of a brown color and feels thinner in vescocity. i might have to do a test and see which is better because i have alot(gallons) of this mil CLP.

I like this test better.

Corrosion Protection Products for Rifles, Shooting, Benchrest Competition, Varminting and Firearms Storage

Eezox kicks the crap out of CLP. I use both!

Had never heard of Eezox. Have been using CLP, but after those pictures, I think I might be giving Eezox a nod.

I found some Eezox on flea bay for cheap. I'm just hesitant to use it as a lube.

Many rust preventives make lousy lubricants. And many lubricants make lousy rust preventives.

i agree the CLP is great stuff, but i get LPS #3 for free from work, not alot, but a few cans is enough for me so i use that, have never had any problems, though I have not tested it like some people, we sprayed my friends lathe down before last winter, and he was "going to" clean his garage and put the lathe in it, but never did, there was only one small 1/4" spot of rust on the machined surfaces after 5 months in the snow and melt, and that pretty does it for me, plus...its free

see link below for the LPS
Rust Inhibitor, Rust Preventative, LPS 3 – LPS Laboratories

if anyone needs any, i can sell it cheap as i work for an industrial distributor...
pm me if interested.

I love Eezox, I still use some oil after but it makes cleaning the star chamber on an AR-15 or M4 quick and easy.
