WOW now worried......
Im new here i just bought a xd .40sc and i have to say after reading some of the rusty tales here i wonder if i made the right purchase. Im saying do i sell the gun while it still looks good or is there a way you can tell by looking if you got one of the newer guns, ive seen post where people say if its pre 2006 you have to watch for rust but not to worry that much if its made after 2006. my UPC code has a number on it then says HC 06 PACKAGE what does this mean. Oh and im not trying to kick the gun i like it very much i just wonder why some many people are having this rust problem.

Look at the package the test fired round came in, that would give you a more accurate date as to when your gun was manufactured.
