Do even know the legislative process?

Do you even know the process it takes to change the constitution?

You need to educate your self before posting this type of drivel!

Thats how it begins. Like the saying goes "give an inch, take a mile."

If you give in with little or no fight then they will see how easy it was and take more.

I am a hard working white American male. The US. government has never givin me anything. They have only taken from me and this is just more thing that they feel I don't need.

I'm curious as to what you mean. The legislative process never prevented them from infringing on our 2nd amendment right in 1994.

They didn't need to change the constitution.

Even if changing the constitution is the end goal, there's nothing stopping them from passing legislation restricting our rights during the interim.

Again, this isn't intended to be fear mongering or drivel, but to sit back and assume that this isn't a big deal is a mistake IMO. To do nothing but let the government sort it out is even more of a mistake. Contact your legislators. Prepare. Do what you can before something prevents you from doing so. It's better to have something and not need it now, then to need it and not have it later.

Everyone assumes that this is going to "take awhile", but I don't think that is the case. Time is subjective to everyone, but I'm betting by this time next year something will have passed. They've already been trying to sneak legislation under the door for many years now. Feinstein is already bringing this to the table in January, along with the new task force Obama put Biden in charge of.

Unfortunately, the problem as I see it, is that people should have been preparing for this a long time ago. History does in fact tend to repeat itself after all.

/cheers

The more I read, the more I think nothing will happen. Pistols are safe most likely. It will take longer than one month to pass something, if it does, it takes a while to implement and of course there will be the constitutional law suits to contend it.

all gun owners need to vote all those anti-gun politicians out of office.

is there anyone here who is a single issue voter, meaning the only deciding factor when voting for someone is if they are pro gun or not?

Even with a republican controlled house, how far do y'all think that will get us with the democommie media demonizing them from now until the 2014 elections. Any house republican that votes against an AWB will be become a target and the democommies hope that will help them overturn the house in 2014.

Anyone who doesn't believe that anti-gun legislation won't get passed is either dreaming or is an Obamonation apologist.

this stupid talk of a ban is ridiculous , how many ARs are out there ? how many murders are happening because of them ? yet they ride on the coat tales of this tragedy shamelessly . lets not talk about mental illness , lets not talk about keeping ur stuff locked up. no lets take away a GOD given right, let alone what the second amendment was about , individual's right to bear arms. it falls in line with the Declaration of Independence Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness . i am tired of having to even think about this , there should be no question. and that goes for crippled fire arms as well. Maybe some of these people may want to go to Europe , everyone would be much Happier. so much for my AR build , God forbid i can build one for a decent price now.
