PRP Trigger Question

Hi all,
I just installed the Ultimate kit in my service .40 and it went rather well. (I think) The 2 part video from PRP on youtube was VERY helpful for a noob like myself. I'm confident everything is working well, but i have a concern.

I'm not 100% sure I took enough off the sear for the palm safety engagement. I'm trying to remember/feel where it was stock but I'm not 100% sure. Is that even important? or is it more of a personal preference on how far out the safety lever protrudes?

not to down play my mechanical ability but for a total noob i would say this kit was fairly easy to install. anyone with real gunsmithing experience shouldn't have any problem.

The grip safety should feel/protrude the same as it did for the factory sear.

You can test it, be sure ur guns unloaded, by seeing if you can get the trigger to "fire" without pressing the grip safety. If it won't, so far so good. Now press it and it should fire.

When gripping the grip safety, the lever should be very unnoticeable. If its rough or has a click to it, you may need to file it some more.

Congrats on the kit, you'll like it, I love mine!

Headed out to a local outdoor range now. I'll report back, but it feels better just dry firing.

PRP Ultimate Trigger Kit. XD.40 Service

The gun runs flawless. just put 300rds through it and it shoots great! The trigger is money now. I was having a problem with my first round with the stock trigger, now with the PRP I'm much better. consistent from 1st rd to the last. I let some old timer shoot it (Vet there w/ his son) and he didn't want to give it back. I think him n his son are in the market for Xd's now. haha.
Also I have to mention that i picked up some of brian enos "heavy" slide glide n that $hit is the bomb!. the action is so silky now.
