+1 to PRP for their trigger kits
I just got my trigger kit in, 2 days after placing the order, and it took about an hour or so to install the kit.
The kit I got was the ultimate match trigger kit.
I was a little nervous, Thinking i might be in over my head (considering I've never took a gun apart before other than field strip), but it turns out it was very easy to do. watch the video that's on their website and you'll be fine.
I got it done during my lunch break at work...nothing like getting paid to modify your gun
I'm going shooting tomorrow morning, i'll keep you guys posted!
Thanks PRP!!

Cjanik,
I spent most of my time fitting the sear, making sure that the grip safety still worked properly, and making sure that the sear rotates freely between the safety lever and ejector.
It wasn't difficult, but it did take some time for me to get it just right.
I assume that you have done these checks. If not, please do so before you attempt to fire the gun.
I raise these questions because it took me about 2 hours to get mine "just right", but you said that you did yours in 30 minutes.
Thanks,
Duane

^^ the grip safety wasnt too bad, i filed it down a few times, put it back in, and there was a faint "click" sound/feel that the grip safety was making, but it was engaging (roughly)...so I knew I was within thousanths of an inch from clearing it. Did about 2 more runs down the sandpaper and the "click" went away and it engages freely.
probably spent 10 minutes on that.
the sear was easy. Not sure if I was just lucky but two runs down the sandpaper and I was in the clear. I was able to rock the sear up and down very easily when the grip safety was pressed.
probably 5 minutes on that part of the sear.
the longest part was the trigger. I lost track of how the spring went in but did a quick search on here to fiqure it out. and then i kept filing more and more and more and more of that stop, almost thought I was doing it wrong but no, it actually did require me to file a lot down before it would "fire".
probably spent 20 minutes on this.
give or take 20-30 minutes getting the gun apart, the tools, and putting the peices and parts together and back 10+ times.
I did put it back together and put a blank round (primer, no powder) in there and it fired the primer.

Cjanik,
It sounds like you did it right, but was very lucky in the fitting of the sear.
For me, fitting the trigger over-travel stop was the easiest part. Go figure.
I guess that's why they say "some fitting required".
Go shoot it, and let us know how you like it,
I like mine a LOT.
Thanks,
Duane

The gun shot awesome. had one failure to eject in the beginning, but never happened again after that, not sure why. fired about 250 rounds.
My brother in law was with me, I let him shoot my gun. He misfired twice, by misfire I mean he aimed at the target and it fired before he was really ready to shoot. He did not expect the gun to have so little travel before firing. He liked it but had to adjust a little from his guns. I'm guessing he pulls the trigger on his guns a little before actually expecting to fire to reduce the travel before firing his gun. (if that makes sense)
As for me, I like it a lot more than the stock trigger. It fired much quicker with none of that "pull the trigger and keep pulling until something happens".
I'm loving it.

I shot my XD 45 comact today which is only the second time since SA put on the combat carry kit. I like it a lot! I shoot it just as accurate as my others now and I couldn't say that before. Amazing what a trigger can do for your aim.

I have an XD45 4" Full size and just installed the PRP Ultimate Match Trigger. Took about 2 hours to get it perfect, with probably 70% of that time spent on the sear polish. I am very happy with the results, much shorter trigger pull and less effort. I have not had the chance to measure the force required for trigger pull but will post those results when I have them. As far as shooting goes, there is no comparison. Every aspect shows much improvement with all safety features and reliability retained. Not one malfunction since conversion (300 rounds ago) using my standard practice ammo, Blazer aluminium case 230gr FMJ. I will be installing this same trigger when I get the chance in my new XD9. My first experience with Powder River Precision has been a positive one.
