I finally decided on the PRP ULTIMATE TRIGGER KIT

Greetings all,
I have been contemplating on Springer Precision Trigger or PRP Ultimate for some time now have been hearing equally good comments on both but opted for the PRP due to a few more positives from close friends. What do you all think? It should arrive in the next few days and Im looking forward to the fitting and install seems pretty easy when you watch Daniel from PRP on YouTube. Any comments are appreciated.Any of you here that has installed let me know anything you found that I need to watch out for with my install. Thanks in advance. Corey in Las Vegas.

I purchased that kit along with a dons guide rod earlier this week, should arrive today. I'm in the same boat you are, going to brush up on the videos and take it from their.

Have fun! And BE PATIENT! Do not overfile/oversand your $150 trigger. Err on the side of caution cause you can always sand more. I disassembled and reassembled my gun repeatedly maybe 15 times on each part that needed fitting just to see if it was exactly right.

Also a hint, when you pull the trigger to see if you've shaved enough off the overtravel stop, don't just pull it quickly. Pull it as slow as you can, because sometimes, when it is just a liiiittle to short, it will release the striker when pulled fast, but will bottom out in the frame when pulled slow. Don't ever want it to not go bang

The only problem I had was when I put pressure on the slide the trigger wouldn't drop. Did a little more sanding on the over travel and worked like a charm. Took it to the range today and fired flawlessly.

Im very happy with the fit and install had to dis assemble about 20 times but I really feel that I know my gun alot better than I did before. I wasn't filing enough material from the over travel due to seeing the tip of the sear even after removing around .008 a bit more and sear was just about flush with top of frame. I re assembled held the back of the frame pressed the trigger slowly and the frame got stuck on the very tip of the sear. I dis assembled once again and sanded the overtravel approximately .001 more and I got er' done. Now to get to the range today and see how it will help my accuracy. I love the removal of all that pre travel and the reset is very fast without the re take up

I just installed the PRP Ultimate Match kit in my XDm5.25 last weekend. Watch the video a few times, and follow it along as you progress in your install. You will probably find as most of us did that you need to remove quite a bit of material off of the trigger stop. Take your time, and you'll find the results are simply amazing!!! Good luck!

Great to hear! I just ordered the Ultimate Match trigger kit as well for my XD40 Service. I can't wait 'til it comes in.
