Best trigger kit for concealed carry
Ive been looking at PRP trigger kits and i am wanting to put one on my XDSC40 and eventually my XDm 9mm if I like it.
Im mainly wanting to releave some of the trigger travel without making the weight of the pull so light it would end up like my 1911. After several range trips, drills, and trial and error i discovered that the lenth of the pull before you start felling the pressure from the sear is throwing me off.
Anyone know which kit PRP offers would be the best for this?

Maybe I worded that wrong. I'm trying not to make the trigger where its a slight touch and go or i guess i should say shoot where it is a CCW. My 1911 is that way. I'm comfortable with it and I always draw with my index finger extended. I just don't think that its generally a good idea to have a touch and go trigger on a CCW due to the nature that they are used for and it only takes on mishap.
Is the trigger pull the same with all of the kits and if so how is it? When I read the reviews it sounds like this kit makes the trigger the way most shooters ideal trigger should be factory.

I'm looking into this as well for my XD 45 compact. I've heard the combat kit is the best and is recommended on the XD custom shop upgrades "suitable for carry" according to them.

Cav - I think you might be able to play with what the kits have to get what you need. I put the Ultimate Easy Trigger in my xdsc9, and it's got a little take up and almost no overtravel/reset. Made all my Glock friends super jealous. However, the trigger break has got to be under 5lbs. It's very light.
Maybe write to the folks at PRP about this (they're super cool), but it seems to me you could install the ultimate kit and swap in the factory springs if the trigger is too light, without effecting the travel.

Thats what I would try as well. I have the ultimate kit and the trigger pull and break is very quick and light probly around 4lbs. Im trying to determine now if its to light for me to carry. I am always super careful but it doesnt take much to discharge with that kit. Super accurate now and very fast, I was already accurate but I couldnt stand the factory trigger pretravel.

I put a PRP kit in my XD45 Compact, but that was way back when Daniel only had one kit..
It didn't lighten the trigger at all, it just took the slop and over travel out of it.
Improved the stock trigger 110%.
But I still eventually sold the pistol....
Sorry if that doesn't help, it is the only input I can offer..

Stock trigger is fine for carry I would go with it.
