A "Budget" Trigger Kit???
This is not the best way to improve the trigger on an XDM. I think that we have that solved with our ultimate line of trigger kits. However this method will work and the cost should be in the $40.00 price range. Take look and give me some feed back. If there is considerable interest in this, we will produce it.

Intriguing, but I'm already sold on the UMT  Just have to clear off some Holiday purchases from the CC first...

Looks promising. What part is changed and how much would spring changes affect trigger pull weight?

If it's not the best way, what, if any, are the shortcomings of this new cheaper method? You showed us a video fo the results and stated that the trigger, trigger bar,striker safety lever and sear are all stock. I'm perplexed as to what else could be done to affect take up and reset without altering the stock components. Maybe a linkage system or add-on part to the trigger bar? Will this new part cause any accelerated wear or increased stress on other parts and will it be just as reliable and durable as using the Ultimate kit?

That's a great choice. This new "thing" is in no way going to replace what we are already doing with the ultimate line of trigger kits. It would simply be a budget option for removing some travel from the trigger pull.

Right now I can't say what "part" we are changing or how this works except that it is totally different from anything anyone else has done and you show the results.
With our other kits, we address several parts in the trigger system to achieve the best possible results from a trigger kit. From a design stand point this is the best approach. With this new method, we are using one part to do several things. While this works pretty well it is not the best approach.
It is reliable.

The springs could lower the pull weight by as much as 1-1.5 lbs

Agreed. I have an XD40 and while you showed the products results in an xdm, I'm curious as to if they would be for xd's also, if you go along with production.
