I'm pretty sure I lost. No one said anything (real) about the economy which means neither has the stones to lead.

Edit: I turned it off at the half when I got to work, but I'm confident I'm still right.

Hate to say it, but Obama was damn well spoken. Did not like what he was saying, but I have to admit he said it well. McCain fumbled too much. He seemed intimidated for a lot of it, but when he got his footing or Obama struck a nerve, he took off. I dunno, I think McCain definitely made much better points, but Obama's quite the showman.

I wish the other poll had this third option "No One". I dont think either candidate won. Obama's delivery was much much better even though I disagree with 99% of what he says. McCain was angry and flustered and wouldnt direct his comments at the man he is running against. Get in his face!!

I hope the next debate is much better for McCain.

It's amazing how someone can yak yak yak, we need change, change, change, and still never actually "say" anything. What exactly is going to change?

Sure Obama can speak, that's what he did for a living, he was a college professor. However, remember how his speaches were stolen. It's easy to speak someone elses words, especially when the speach was written a few decades back. Not even original material. A college professor should be familiar with the term PLAYGARISM, it's stealing. So he's proven himself a thief who can talk his way out of it.

And for F*** sake, McCain is the presidential nominee, not Palin. Everyone remember Quale, that guy didn't do a thing and he was VP. VP doesn't mean jack, kinda like first lady don't mean jack.

It's a bit like Alien vs. Predator. Whoever wins, we lose.

Good observation there. We are F***ed either way. Obama can talk all the sh!t he wants about change but it means nothing unless you can tell me how it's going to happen. McCain is F'in old and has no idea what it is like today for the younger folks that are carrying this nation.

I didn't even watch this crap cuz I knew it would just make me mad. But hearing that they were not addressing the economy as the #1 issue just shows that neither one of them have the balls to lead use somewhere new.

Just what is it like for you young folks who are "carrying" this nation?

Just what new direction do you want to go?

You have a nation because of men like McCain who put their ass on the line for it. Something not many of you young folks know anything about.

The last bit of it that I caught it seemed to be more in McCain's favor.

I also noticed a lot of umms, uhhs and other fillers from Obama. Something you learn in basic general education in college speech and english classes is to not use fillers in your speeches/debates like umms and uhhs. To me that makes you sound unsure of what you are saying and in my opinion unintelligent, if you can't think of what to say next a small pause of silence is better than Ummmmm.... Uhhh... I... i i i i...

All I want to see in this country is the amendments upheld that were put there by the original framers, to keep our rights as US citizens (IE No gun bans, not giving away jobs to outsourcing, illegals etc.) Be proud of who we are and go back to building and buying our own products.

We are failing as a country because the people who have the money and power don't give two shiets about the country and only care about lining their pockets with more money and power. ***** on the little guy, outsource jobs, make it cheaper for us, more expensive for the consumer, and force everyone to pay more with less, and the little guys are too blind, don't care enough, or don't have enough balls to stand up to the problems at hand, and the ones that will stand up and say something don't have enough backing(ie more people standing up) and help to push hard enough to make a difference. One voice in the crowd of sheep baahing is difficult to hear.

As a 24 year old I will readily admit: If you think the younger folks are "carrying" this nation you are either seriously misled or completely out of touch with reality.

This country still runs on the wealth and infrastructure set up by the greatest generation after their return from WWII.
