Poll: One handed re-holstering
I wanted to find out how many of you feel that being able to re-holster your weapon with one hand is important for real life defensive scenarios.
I'm looking for a holster for CC, and this seems to be one of the questions I have not been able to answer on my own.
Thanks,
Leprechaun97

I can do it either way.....I don't see why this is such a big issue. If I have to draw my weapon....it is out for a reason.

It is sometimes necessary to use 2 hands to reholster if you're using a soft IWB holster. I don't see why it would be a big deal.
I can generally use 1 hand to reholster if I'm OCing with a paddle holster or another type of OWB holster.

I personally would want to be able to reholster as quickly as I can draw just in case the situation changes before lethal force is required and the sight of a drawn handgun could cause more problems.

Foe me it doesnt matter because if I have had to draw the situation os ugly already and I will prolly be putting my weapon down as the Leo's arrive so no need to reholster, that being said most of my holsters allow 1 handed reholstering.

One hand to pull up shirt, other to stuff the XD in holster, less mess, less fuss.

I guess you can make a case either way but when I went through Thunder Ranch we were taught, and it was stressed, we needed to re-holster with one hand. I had taken a holster down that had a thumb snap but it quickly proved problematic using one hand so bought a Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB holster and it worked great.
Since that is the way I was taught that is how I continue to train but I guess it really boils down to what you are comfortable with. Only issue I might see is that your other hand might otherwise be occupied with a flashlight or needed for other activities.

??? Please give me a sanario where a "quick" re-holster is needed and how would your safety fit into this??
IMHO, if I am reholstering, the scene is safe... ideas??

Not only do I reholster with one hand, I hold the XD by the slide thereby precluding any AD because of something catching where it shouldn't be catching.
