Do you use Google as a Spell Checker?

Do you or have you ever been at a loss as to how to spell a word and used Google to type in what you think and then see what comes up as correct?

It is a great spell checker for some rather technical words that microsoft word does not have in its dictionary.

Do You Use Google as a Spell Checker?....Yes.

Every post I make gets hit with Google Spell check before I post it.
It works on any forum or web page.
It helps me look like less of an idiot...
Now, if only they could make a Google Grammar check, I could be a genius.

If you accidentally add a word to the spell check you didn't want (I've done it a lot being in a hurry) you can use this info to edit words you added.

From Google;
SpellCheck : Edit the dictionary - Toolbar for Internet Explorer

SpellCheck: Edit the dictionary
We don't currently provide a way to edit your SpellCheck dictionary from the Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer. However, you can edit entries with a text editor. To do this, click the "Start" button on your Windows taskbar, select "Run" and then enter the following into the text box:

notepad "%HOMEPATH%\Application Data\Google\User Dictionary.txt"

If you've added words to your SpellCheck dictionary, a text file showing the words you've added will open. You can then edit or remove any words in this file. Once you've made the changes, please save the file.

Sometimes I spell words so poorly, Firefox doesnt understand them to correct, but Google 95% comes to save the day.

Normally I use Win Word but sometimes even that doesn't know how to spell something.

Firefox 3 has a great spell checker built right in. But it can't help those that use things like the following.

payed instead of paid

When using Firefox, if I misspell a word, I get the squiggly red line under the word indicating it's either misspelled or not in the dictionary.

I will occasionally Google a word if I'm having a brain fart and the browser suggestions aren't right.
