I am going to have to call fake on this one..... from my experience bullets zip right through stop signs and leave a small hole similar to shooting paper. The silver ring around it would tell me that the bullet did not penetrate but rather splattered on impact. That and the fact that I cant see any actual holes letting light through.

I live in a rural area. A stop sign on a ceder post out in the woods. My only question is why so few bullet holes? Looks like 22s maybee two boxes worth.

On an old sign like that the bullet will remove paint around the hole. I'm going to say it's real.

Great HDR pic. I voted real bullet holes and like Kaboom says, most likely small caliber .22's, bb's or pellets. As far as the actual picture, it looks set up. Doesn't look like there's any reason for the stop sign to be there.

I've never seen a sign that old so that very well could be. Thing is, do you see any actual holes?? All I see is black spots where you should be seeing a hole with the light coming through.
