Custom Marlin model 60 build

Ok, im all finished with the build portion of my Marlin model 60....now its time for paint. I prefer paint over stain and have a guy on payroll who is going to do it (strip, sand, fill, prime, paint, and coat) for me. He said he can do any color under the sun.

I need you guys to help me decide what...

to match my p22

http://www.buygifttissue.com/images/Desert_Tan.gif

to match my AK mags and 1911 grips

http://www.housebeautiful.com/cm/hou...or-red-xlg.jpg

for no real reason...just kind of neat

http://www.housebeautiful.com/cm/hou...r-blue-xlg.jpg

again, just neat looking

OR

Tell me what color (example provided)

Yeah, since this pic i have installed a Harris Bi-pod and a Simmons scope. The barrel and all metal has been coated flat black. The 60 is on the bottom (obviously)

Id say match it to your grips on your 1911... im guessing you carry the 1911 while using the marlin so it would look sweet together

Is that a 870 express or police? Also, is that the older model 60 with the longer mag tube? I have bone stock model 60, id like to hear what you did to yours.

By the way, if it were me id stain it. Id make it as classic looking as possible.

It is the Express, I have the police stock and fore-end on the way though. As well as a wilson sling mount (side mount at mag tube), a scattergun tech. follower, safety, and i think thats it...

It is the older model 60 with the 18 round tube. When i got it the thing wouldnt even move, rust everywhere, just in bad shape. I took it all the way a part and cleaned, grinded, smoothed, and polished everything. Then i recoated the metal on the gun as well as sanded the wood and stained it. When i got it i couldn't even get it to dry-fire...now the thing will shoot the 18 round tube just as fast as i can pull the trigger.

Since then i have installed sling studs, mounted a harris bi-pod to the front, and installed a Simmons 3-9x adjustable scope. I will take a pic this evening and show you.

Nice, where did you find the police stock and forend at? Also, did that 870 +2 magazine extension come with the sling swivel or did you buy it seperate? I notice that the new 870 HD shotguns come standard with the sling swivel now and no J saftey.

I also have the model 60 with the 18 round tube, it is the first firearm I ever owned. I actually took it out of storage not long ago and boy was it in bad shape. Check this out, I sent it into Marlin only paying shipping there and they completely switched out all the old parts including putting a new stock on it for free!!! They also gave me a new 5 year warranty and sent me back all my old parts and stock. I'll tell ya, Marlin has been the best company I have ever delt with in my life. I love my Marlin model 60..

Heres a picture:
