Ok quick poll, if a person approched you with a stun gun with the intention of using would this be justification for a draw and shoot?

I would. I don't see how it's any different from being hit in the head with a bat if the attacker had the intentions of knocking you out.

i could just see a def lawyer screamin about a stun gun being non lethal.

I would probally draw and maybe fire if the sight of a gun didnt send the attacker running. i could see that going either way in court, so if u do draw and fire, get a good attorney

I think answers here would depend heavily on the state you are in. My origional home state of Massachusetts barely lets you defend you in your own home. Here in Nevada it seems we are able to defend ourselves with less worry about what the bad guys intentions or weapon involvement is, within reaon of course. The Californian influence is changing that slowly of course.

My thoughts exactly.

The law states you can fire in self defense if you believe there is a imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm.

I can't see how a stun gun wouldn't constitute an imminent threat of serious bodily harm.

in a heartbeat cause as stated no way to know what they're going to do after your defensless but also yes get a very good lawyer and experts on your team.. hire massad ayoob

I'm thinking that if I can't get away I either shoot them or they stun me and take my gun. Then they shoot me and have my gun.
