I had to vote for "Open Carry" only because I don't have my CCDW License in DE yet, so my only option is to OC....

I CC 90% of the time. That 10% that I OC is when I am at the range, on private land, or in the woods. I CC when I am out and about in "everyday life".

I'd rather have the option of open carry (or as I like to call it, semi-conceal carry)...as has been said, if they're willing to shoot me first (ambush) to rob a place, they'd be doing so whether I'm OC, CC, or unarmed...the ability to OC gives you easier access to your own weapon, makes a robber think twice before acting.
As for the cops giving you grief...all it takes is a few good complaints (or even a lawsuit) and they'll quickly learn their lawful limits. It's easier to carry your weapon on you if you don't have to worry about concealing it completely...I know I'd be able to carry twice as often if I didn't have to worry about good concealment while carrying to keep from breaking anti-OC laws. |

Just wanted to resurrect this one. I posted the other day about me open carrying more and more. It feels great. I've been to several stores and eating establishments and no problems whatsover. I did however have this guy at Wally-World speak loudly to me last night about what model I was carrying and where could he get cheap mags. Maybe this is just my way of sticking it in the face of the Obamaniacs. Or maybe I just love my guns and my (current) freedoms.

Here in Wyoming we have both options. When I am in the bush or at home I open carry. When in public I CC. I just don't want the hassles in public. Besides we get some pretty strange turist around here from other parts of the country who have never open carried before and while they don't bother anyone you can usually tell who they are. I gladly welcome them to carry, I just want them to relax and not look so twitchy.
