I would prefer Eotech, but, if I wont be in a combat situation, home defense only, wouldnt a Bushnell Holosight be a good choice? Its a couple hundred bucks less than the cheapest EoTech and is made (supposedly) by the same company.

The difference is less than $100
It is the same sight minus the protective hood and "raised" buttons

+1 for the Aimpoints. Lasts forever, uncluttered reticle & you won't have 'height' issues with certain magnifiers or need additional risers. And that's coming from an EO user!

To answer your question - They use all 3 actively.

No disrespect, but are you serious? How will that truly make a difference from a civilian standpoint? They're all battle-proven sight options.

Like stated above pretty much all of the branches use all of the major optics such as EOTECHs, AIMPOINTs, ACOGs, and there are some MARS sights floating around out there.

The Marine Corps loves their ACOGs and they seem to be the most widely issued around the Corps. They are about to start acquiring lots of EOTECHs though according to the most recent Programs and Concepts book that came out for this year.

The Army and Air Force seem to love the Aimpoints a lot. The Army also issues their fair share of ACOGs.

C-More is another option. I have them on 3 pistols, 2 rifles, and a shotgun. Not trying to say C-More is the "BEST", but look at one before you decide. They work great for me.
