Whats your favorite carry/HD hangun ammo?

Just wondering what you guys like to use the most...

I personally LOVE the Winchester Rangers.. They test really well, and they are accurate and reliable.

I did buy some Barnes XPB bullets for the .45 that I will load up for my HD ammo, once I get proficient with my reloading skills.

I like the Rangers as well. They are cheaper than the target ammo so I can get a lot of practice in with them. I also have some Hydra-Shoks though.

Hmmm..seems like the other seven times I have seen this question pop up this month I had a link to point them too,

Oh yeah, here it is:

What type of self defense ammo does everyone use?

What ammo and how many rounds do you keep at all times?

What ammo to avoid?

What type of ammo should I avoid?

Ammo for CHL Proficiency Test?

Depends on what weapon I'm using. 124grn +P Speer Gold Dot is my favorite 9mm and all my 9mms feed it well.

We've only got 2 .45s one is a 1911 clone and it hates HP ammo so it gets fed Federal 200grn +P EFMJ and it eats it well. The 1917 revolver gets fed this also just to keep the "supply lines" simple.

My favorite plinking ammo is reloads.

Rifles are a different animal all together but this thread isn't about those.

I suspect you were just too lazy to actually READ those other posts.

If your concern was what ammo THE REST OF US liked, you would have been satisfied with the answers given in the OTHER poll that was posted.

Same here. Have some Hornady TAP 147gr right now, but once those are used I'm going to place a LARGE order of HST and have that be my primary load.
