Do you track rounds fired?

With so many pistols, how do you guys keep count of how many rounds through each gun? I keep a notepad with each gun on a separate page and write it down by the box.

Do you keep track of your rounds fired, and if so, how?

I used to keep a fair count of what went downrange through what gun...then I accumulated more guns and shot more rounds than I could keep track of in my head, so I bagged the idea and just keep a general count.

I track them to the nearest 25 or 50. When I'm at the range, I rip the box ends off the factory ammo boxes and toss those into my gun bag. That's how I keep track. Not too tedious.

Yes, but how do you know which gun this was for? If you only have one of that caliber, then I like this idea, but not if you are shooting 2-3 9mm's in one range visit.

I keep track of the date, number of rounds shot, and type of round (i.e. Blazer Brass 180gr). I keep track of this in a small notebook I keep in my range bag.

Most of the time I bring one or two guns. Seldom both 9's. The few times I did, I just did a ballpark guess. I know I shot a box of 100 at roughly 25-75 split. If you try to get it down to exact numbers, the process of tracking rounds will be too cumbersome and you'll quit doing it. I don't really have a specific purpose for tracking round count but it's nice to know how I've used my guns. Accuracy to half a box is sufficient.

I used to, but gave it up as impractical. I shoot about a thousand rounds a month.
