i vote for the AK simply because the mass availability of mags and parts. Not to mention it is the definition of assault rifle....if you look at every major conflict in recent history you will surely see one.

That's a tough one. I like them all. VZ-58 is a bad unit. SKS is a classic. Ak-47 is the quintessential bada$$ gun.
This is all going to come down to matter of opinion. Now, had you compared to the Mattel AR-15, that would have been a easy one.

I think the AK has a capacity and size advantage but the SKS shoots softer and is more accurate... just my opinion though.

i agree with ichy. but i chose the AK because i own one, and i have heard where SKS have trouble feeding if you convert to hi cap mags. but my brother's SKS is a sweet shooter! just not enough rounds for my taste...

I'd say AK47, but make it a Gali variant.

What's it going to be used for? Just a carry around assault weapon I'd go with the AK, but if you're looking for accuracy I've had better experience with a SKS.
