I owned 3 Glocks before I got an XD.

Nothing really wrong with the XD, but I was more used to shooting Glocks and I didn't feel that switching back and forth was helping my shooting. Since I was more invested in Glocks I dumped the XD.

Not going to bash the XD, I just decided to stick with my Glocks. If someone likes the XD better and it works for them that's great. I think they really are equals in the gun world. Both are reliable polymer framed handguns of about equal size, weight, and price. Both have some pluses and minuses and as long as someone makes an informed choice it's not wrong.

Ditto. Before I bought my first XD, I shot everything I could get my hands on at the rental counter of three gun ranges.

I'll say it again...the XD just felt right. In fact a few Glock owners who I've let shoot my XD45 ACP liked it a LOT!

Gee, imagine that, opposite responses on glock talk and xd talk. Hmmm.

Anywho, my reasons are less "rabid" than some fans: I simply don't shoot GLOCK's grip-angle very well. SO, GLOCK, really, it's not you, it's me... it's just not going to work out....

This is a hard one to call. I am partial to XDs but the Glock I shot was a very good gun.

I think the Glocks are fine weapons, but I simply preferred the way the XD shot when I was comparing them. I shot a few different XD's back to back with a few different Glocks over a couple week period while making my choice, and ultimately I just found the XD more comfortable to shoot. I also prefer having a grip safety and a few other small details over the Glocks.

Why do we have to keep on suffering these stupid "which gun" threads??
