I'd keep a SP101 with Glaser's in a gunvault in the kitchen, something the misses could get to, and a box of snake shot as well, for those with a yard, kids, pets...
other then normal safe for most stuff, and a nightstand gun, prefereabley a Sig or HK SA/DA with decocking lever, never know if someone is under duress you may need that 2.5-3lb trigger for a headshot!

I have a gun for every room, but I hesitate to do that. I need one central location to keep track of them.

I keep most in the safe but keep a few in the main rooms of the house. Just in case.
