Even though I voted "HeLL Yeah"......what do you really NEED one in every room. As long as you strategicaly place 1-3 around your house, then you should be good. Thats what I do.

So, what happens if they do find them? Have you taught your kids proper gun safety and handling??? I HAVE.

My kids are very gun safe. My son is getting to be quite the shooter.

As far are guns in the house? Strategic placement, upstairs and downstairs, both handgun and long gun. Hidden, loaded mags locked in gunvault safes.

Ha, my kids know more about firearms, how they work and how build them than many on this forum. Yes, they know exactly what to do if they find a firearm, regardless of who it belongs to or where they are at. They both set up my adjustible triggers in some of my Mosins and AK builds...

Its a matter of being prepared. Pick up an issue of Combat Handguns and read the it happened to me stories or hit this site

Civilian Gun Self-Defense Blog

Lots of stories about people ringing the doorbell and then when no one answers they kick in the front door or the back door. Because they think no one is home or they break in when they think you are sleep. Most of us feel its better to be prepared and have a gun within reach then to need one and not have one handy.

Or at least thats my reason for keeping a pistol handy but I cant vouch for everyone else here. My neighborhood has the potential to be become crappy because of the kids in nearby areas seem to like to kick in back doors. I am just waiting for them to kick in the wrong door.
