it has already happend to me, but also my living situation is more conducive to not having a car than most people, so it is easier for me to not have a car.

We have a SSGT. at work that rides that everyday unless it's raining. 35 miles round trip.

I'm still not really feeling the gas pinch becuase I ride my 50 MPG motorcycle almost everyday.

I'm one of those scumbag construction workers. I work alone so carpooling is out. I also have scaffolding and tools that I need for every job so walking, bike and bus are out. When it gets too bad, I'll either ask for some relief from my company or I'll quit, sell my truck and walk to Circle K to fill out an application.

Until our leaders do something, we'll continue to pay through the nose, but let's be happy we're not paying what Europe pays for gas.

With my salary and financial situation, i can handle $4 gas, but my truck will only be used to get me to and from work. My wife drives the gas sipper, but even that costs us close to $40 a week now.

California wants to add another tax to gas to "reduce consumption"...

I'm lucky enough to only have to drive about 10 miles round trip a day. Gas prices suck, but I try not to complain too much because most have to pay more than me.

We pay roughly the same for the gas. Where the Europeans get hit are in their much higher taxes.

The price of oil is the same everywhere. It's the value of the purchasing currency that is the factor. The value of our dollar is so low now that it take more of them to purchase the same amount of oil. One reason is the FED. They keep lowering interest rates which is just printing more money. The more dollars in circulation, the less value they hold.
