Don't know if I would buy one, definitely not for the $730 sticker I saw for one at my LGS today.
But I did like the way it felt in my hand. I liked the way the thinner grip felt, not as bulky as the ones I have now. Drop the price about 2 bones and release the .45 or 10mm and maybe we'll talk.

video of new XDm pistol

Exciting video of Springfield Armory's new XDm pistol, presented by many-time national shooting champion Rob Leatham, can be viewed online at Gun Talk TV. Click Here to view or visitwww.guntalk.tv and go to "New Releases" in the video library. At the NRA Annual Meetings today, Springfield Armory announces the latest in the XD line, a pistol with so many new features that Springfield is calling it a completely new category.

Heck no. Not only do I not like the new XD-M but I don't know that I will own another XD either. I love my XD-40SC but I'm thinking my next gun will be a SA 1911 and maybe eventually get an EMP or 1911 micro-compact to replace the XD.

No question about it! Looking to buy first handgun and will most likely invest in the SC XD-9 for carry purposes, and a quick follow-up with the XD-M .40.

I think the xdm is gag-me ugly. I dont like the trigger or the half a$$ barrel length. Its not in the same class as a service, or a tactical, It could be a little longer for comp. or a little shorter for carry. It was pushed into the market way too hard. It really rubbed me the wrong way. They tried to make it look cool and have more features. That just means it will look dated faster and have more $hiznit to get lost or break. Big disappointment to me. It seems like it was marketed as a toy. Makes it seem cheap. Makes me want to sell my other xds and just keep my HS and keep buying Glocks.

I have one, its my first XD and I love it, I just wish they made it in compact but with my supertuck it conceals pretty well as long as I dont bend over

I was going to buy an XD45C. Then they came out with the XDM, so I had a decision to make.

I went to a gun show, handled both, and decided on the XDM in less than a minute.

I've never regretted my decision. The XDM is fantastic and it conceals just fine, despite being larger.
