My wife usually doesn't shoot more than 5-10 rounds, or she really starts feeling it. My friends wife (maybe 5' and 90 pounds soaking wet) insisted on shooting it a couple weeks ago, she fired from one knee... it knocked her over , but she still thought it was fun to feel how powerful it was!

I am a pretty big guy (6'5", 230) and I don't really feel much until I hit 40+ rounds...

My wife does not shoot with me. I don't know what the problem is. She wants to keep a simple double barrel shotgun ready for just in case. I keep telling her that if she don't practice that someone will take if from her & hit her in the head with it. I am about to decide that she is better off with a can of pepper spray & good pair of tennis shoes. I have a .22 Buckmark & have been trying to talk her into shooting with me. She knows that it does not kick. She shot her dad's .38 years ago but now she just makes excuses for not going with me.
Anyone have suggestions?

my wife is a product of the liberal NYC public school system. She was a registered Democrat and very liberal. Her eyes opened, but up until a year ago, she was pretty anti-gun....until i took her to the range.

she would blow through a box of 550 rounds of 22 and leave nothing but an 8 inch hole in the middle of the target.

she is probably more conservative then me aside from her environmentalist tenancies.

my wife was playing with an AR-15 carbine the other day. she likes it...after my AK, that's my next investment. Very expensive though.
