Eventually you will own more holsters than pairs of underwear. I have several and use them at different times of the year. My hume open top OWB is probably the most comfortable.

For the two who voted for sob, you might want to reconsider in light of some of posts made about back injuries. An added factor short of falling on your back is the mere fact you are carrying one and that it causes pressure against your spine.

As a professional spine patient, I would never carry sob and never did in almost 3 decades of le. As it was, carrying my cuff cases and notebook and being in a radio car for 15yrs. didn't help. My spine doc advises to never carry anything near the spine.

You may not have a problem for years, but once you do, you will probably have them for the rest of your life. I'm not saying it will ever result in surgery, but from personal experience (4 times), you do not want that experience.

A fyi, I'm not saying carrying things against my back caused all of my problems, because it didn't. Fights in the jail, the years in the car, picking up drunks, arresting people who resisted, sitting at my computer writing reports and walking up and down escalators that were actually stairs since they didn't work, all contributed.

Go with IWB.

Not directly related, but look what happened to golfer Chris Dimarco. He fell on his back while skiing with a water bottle in his backpack and hasn't been the same since. Again -- not directly related but when someone loses several million of income it does catch my attention.
