there are only six calibres I shoot regularly. I keep enough ammo on hand to last about a year (1500+) of shooting....

I split the difference and voted 200-500 even though I have 900 in 9mm, but only 220 in .45ACP.....

650--9mm Practice (WWB, Blazer, etc.)
250--9mm Defense (TAP, Hydra-shok, Golden Saber, etc.)

100--.45ACP Practice (WWB)
120--.45ACP Defense (Speer, Corbon, etc.)

I need to buy more .45, I guess. I would really like to have around 700-800 of each caliber.

haha....
5,45x39.5 = 21,600 of surplus, 2000 of Silver Bear, 1000 of Wolf
7.62x54R = about 35K assorted rounds
7.62x25 = 2100
7.62x38R = about 1200
9mm = 1800 of assorted ball and HP
9x18 = 1000 of assorted ball and HP

You should see my storage rooms here and at my Step Dads new house-he 'gave' me free reign of the attic for firearms work and storage (1800 climate controlled sq ft! )
