I keep 300-400rds per caliber of loaded ammo but I keep several thousand components on hand.

Here's a related question.....do those who stock pile over a 1000 rounds keep it all in the same place?

there are only six calibres I shoot regularly. I keep enough ammo on hand to last about a year (1500+) of shooting....

200 .380 1000 9mm 100 38 super 200 40 sw 500 45 acp 1000 .223 1000 7.62x39 200 30 06 200 00 buck 500 birdshot 12 & 20 Always buying more to replace what I shoot. Need to get a reloader. I have been saving brass for several years. |

I split the difference and voted 200-500 even though I have 900 in 9mm, but only 220 in .45ACP.....
650--9mm Practice (WWB, Blazer, etc.) 250--9mm Defense (TAP, Hydra-shok, Golden Saber, etc.) 100--.45ACP Practice (WWB) 120--.45ACP Defense (Speer, Corbon, etc.) I need to buy more .45, I guess. I would really like to have around 700-800 of each caliber.
