For me, it's all about accuracy, in general the longer barrel weapons tend to be more accurate, and thats why I bought the 5".

Same here. I have never shot the 4in but I love my tac. I bought it with a good range gun in mind.

No option for 4 or 5 inch Compact models?
My vote would be 4" Compact.

I havent shot ether, but since I have a 40SC, the next XD Ill be getting is the compact 5" 45. I don't know why...I think I just realy like the look of it.

4" is easier to pack and conceal. Duty Sig is 4", so I am just used to having smaller barrels.
