I just got home with my first of many XD's its a service modle 4" with night sights , and as soon as I get a few hours I plan on running a few hundred rounds thru it .

Its getting fitted for custon leather at the moment and will post pictures of both the leather and XD soon.

Hi, got my 4" service XD 45 in March. I had a Tururs 24/7 45 but wanted a left hand mag. release and thumb safety. I had a bad mag with the Taurus and lost confidence. I am very happy with the XD.

I bought my XD45 Tactical back in January of this year. Got it at a gun show so I was able to take it home the same day.

This is my first pistol. I choose it because it had all of the features that I was looking for and was still decently priced. I went to the gun show with my father-in-law and brother-in-law. Father-in-law has a FFL and has been selling guns for about 20 years, so it was helpful to have someone that had quite a bit of experience with guns show me mechanical features to look out for.

I decided on an XD over a Glock in 2003, the same year I retired from le and was free from dept. restrictions. I waited about 9 months for a SC40 and gave up finally since they weren't available. Bought my SC9 in May of 04 for ccw use. Glad I bought the 9.

I was completely focused on other options (CZ75 Compact/PCR etc) and had given the XD zero consideration. Then about 3 weeks ago my local salesman, being out of the CZ75PCR, pulled out a XD9SC, H&K 2000SK and Taurus 24/7 to just show me. Rented an XD at the range two days later and purchased the XD9SC soon after.
