I did the same thing when I took my CHL class here in TX. I just went and shot my intended carry gun Springfield XD 9mm service.

lol. Having said that I am extremely comfortable and competent with that weapon, hence the chioce. Go with the one you shoot best with and are the most comfortable opperating under high stress (if you would call it that

Take them all and let some others shoot them too. That's what I did I had 4 handguns including a .50 S&W, Ruger .44 mag, XD .40, S&W .45 LC... It was a day at the range for me, mixed in a little fun while we were at it....
