When I took mine 10 years ago we had to shoot 21 times.I had a Beretta 9mm with 2 15rd mags so mine was over pretty quick.I was the only one with a semi-auto pistol the rest were wheel guns.LOL it did take me longer to clean mine tho.

I qualified with a Bersa Thunder myself

Thats lucky in Nevada you are required to qual with and put it on your card every weapon you want to CCW. One thing also about that is the police dept lets you dual register handguns between spouses so I can carry his, he can carry mine but both of us have to qual with all and have them on our permits. We both carry a seperate set of blue cards for all our handguns and if he needs to take it off for some reason (IE) Having a drink. I can take it and put it in my purse and be compliant with the law.

Did I mention this is expensive...........you get two freebies with your permit...........It cost you 20 to qual with each additional handgun plus you pay and additional 25 to the police dept to add each additional handgun. 45 each that adds up when we both have each others on our permits. There is no limit as long as you want to pay.

Here in AZ you can just use a cheap rental gun (or your own), put 7 out of 10 rounds in a 1 foot box from 15 feet and you're good to go. At least I think thats the distance and target If I remember correctly.

One old guy in my class had never even shot a gun before and he did it.
It all depends on what state you get your ccw from. In MO you qualify with both a revolver and a semi as long as you pass you can carry whatever handgun you want provided it's legal of course.

I don't quite get it, you seem confident of qualifying with any of the guns you own, especially the Glock which you intend to carry, but your post sounds more like you are entering a fashion show. This is a concealed carry class, why would they be more impressed with a big-ass 44 Magnum? I wouldn't worry about it. Shoot what you shoot best.

Obviously it's a state by state thing. My understanding is that in NM you can shoot any gun that is either the same or smaller caliber than the one you qualified with...

Answer= Because when you are soo far ahead of the competition, and the goal isn't even to win, you might as well have some fun.

Heh, not to be rude, but you guys are replying to this thread a little late.

Already passed it (as if it's hard), 10 center mass circle shots, 10 headshots, using the Glock 19.

yocan got the point, though, it was more of a "for fun" question. But I went with the poll.
