My first AR was a RRA Entry Tactical. AWSOME rifle! The fit and finish was superb and the upper and lower fit snug as can be. I'd buy one again.

I like Stag Arms

RRA lower receivers and Stag Arms are made at the same factory with the same materials. They just change the molds to stamp the logo different.

I have a Stag and have had no complaints, shoot good, weight is good and eats any kind of round I have tried to shot though it.

I bought the upper and lower differently, Lower=$250 Upper=$345
Charging handle and rear back up sight=$220 Total=$815

I'm happy with this rifle and will continue to by Stag until I can afford a .308. I don't think they make a .308 reciever.

That's just my two cents.

Laz, I like that non-Elite AR phrase.
Simply because...everyone cannot
buy/afford the top of the line,

I fall in that non-Elitest group and
have three Bushies! So my vote is
to go with whatever you can afford.

And in harmony with that statement, not everyone needs the precise functioning, and meticulous detail of a higher end AR. Most will only use an AR for plinking and to say they have one.

I could have brought a Colt but the question is why? I dont need to spend $400 to say I have a horse on my AR.

If you plan to shoot $6000 worth of ammo, then that $400 is really insignificant.

I have a Bushmaster that I am very happy with, but the thing with Colt, Noveske, and LMT is that you are more guaranteed a working rifle right out of the box... but also keep in mind that nothing is 100%. If you have a working rifle then that is all that matters, no matter what the rollmark says.

I voted other and I say go with a Colt LE 6920. Mine has been awesome and I am so glad I have it. Like they said the cost is insignificant once you run a few thousand rounds through it.

I would stay away from any "lite" models. I have only seen one carbon model and it was a total POS. I would also suggest getting the A3/4 upper or you may regret it later.

If limited to those I would say the first or second, whichever one they have and how nice it looks.

There really isn't much of a difference except Colt and they are not even mil-spec unless you buy GI. Colt is also way over-rated. Besides, he said sub $900.00, not $1900.00. Go Rock River. Best trigger of all standard production ar's. Top quality.
