Go for a combination of ROUND COUNT and total COMFORT while carrying. Forget about looks. It must fit your hands. All else being equal, I say ROUND COUNT no matter what caliber you pick.

If you knew the stats on how often cops miss their target, you'd go for a double-stack mag (10, 13, 15, 17 rds) or at least talk yourself into it if you did some serious testing of your ability to shoot on the move, shoot while backing up, or flat out having to shoot while getting SHOT AT.

I suggest taking a course that uses "force-on-force" (i.e. AirSoft guns). Most folks come away from it with ROUND COUNT and ACCURACY OF THE SHOTS over anything else. Why have hitmen used .22 for so long? Why is 9mm the most popular handgun caliber on earth. Cause it's cheap and does the job. If you face 2-3 bad guys, you will want more than a 7+1 round weapon.

And don't forget to carry a spare mag! Or a spare gun

If you have to do a poll then you haven't done your homework and if you buy a gun based on a poll don't gripe if it isn't what you wanted.
