CCW is probably the most important thing if you already have a pistol (like an XD!). The CCW is going to save your life. The AR will just be a heirloom if you can't protect yourself.
I would, however, suggest saving money and getting an AR before you can't get one anymore |

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life. Get the training.
And as Fish said, it may well save your life. You can't carry concealed without it so to me it's a no brainer.

Well, thanks for everyone's input, but as my typical sh!tty financial luck would have it, I had to use my "extra" money on bills (and not to get ahead of them!).
My car insurance, electric, water/sewer, and Comcast bills all came due (and some past due) NOW (or shut-offs would occur on some), so all my potential "AR-15 or CCDW" money has now come and gone, without me ever getting to use it for fun. I hate my life sometimes.

I should have known I really truly wouldn't have $275 to play with. I think I'll give up dreaming so that when the let-down comes, it won't hurt as much.
